Our Story
How Wedding Kidventures Began: A Heart for Children, A Love for Celebrations
Wedding Kidventures began long before we brought it to Florida.
Back in 2009, I launched Die Kindergeburtstagsplanerin — Germany’s first mobile kids’ party planning service. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a beloved business, offering fully themed birthday experiences in families’ homes. From custom games and crafts to kid-friendly food and decorations, I tailored each party to the child’s wishes — whether they dreamed of pirates, fairies, or anything in between.
Before long, word spread. I was traveling across Germany — and even into Belgium — to bring these joyful celebrations to families near and far. Along the way, I was invited to speak briefly on local TV and gave a few radio interviews, sharing how much joy this kind of personalized children’s experience could bring.
One of our signature mystery games back in the early days — it was always about fun, focus, and flexibility!
About a year into the business, a client asked if I could create a similar setup for a wedding. That moment sparked something entirely new. I soon realized that children at weddings needed more than just supervision — they needed something to look forward to, their own space to play, relax, and feel included. From there, the idea expanded to include not just weddings, but also family celebrations like first communions and milestone birthdays.
After moving to Florida, I was surprised to discover that dedicated wedding childcare services weren’t really a thing — something I always assumed had started in the U.S.! But at a summer wedding in 2024, I realized how much families needed this support.
I shared the idea with a local wedding planner, and she immediately encouraged me to go for it. That conversation sparked something bigger. I wanted to bring wedding childcare services in Florida to life — joyful, professional, and stress-free.
To make that vision a reality, I teamed up with Jen, a longtime educator and kids’ ministry leader who shared the same heart and enthusiasm. Together, we launched Wedding Kidventures to offer something new: on-site Florida wedding childcare that’s organized, joyful, and memory-worthy.
